Optical material parameters
- The optical materials are characterized by the following parameters:
- Material type
: homogeneous/non-homogeneous, non-linked / linked, existing in STICLE32.DAT or described in text file;
- Name
: material name, maximum 10 characters;
- Producer
: produces who is producing the material;
- n dispersion eqution type
: dispersion equation type for n;
- Validity spectral range of n dispersion eqution type
: If coating is evaluated outside this range, this area are marked on the graphics.
- n dispersion equation coefficients
: maximum 12 coefficients;
- n perturbation index
: perturbation value generated by the error generator. This value is added to n while evaluating the n value. WARNING ! This value becomes 0 only at the desactivation of the error generator.
- k dispersion eqution type
: dispersion eqution type for k;
- Validity spectral range of k dispersion eqution type
: If coating is evaluated outside this range, this area are marked on the graphics.
- k dispersion equation coefficients
: maximum 12 coefficients;
- k perturbation index
: perturbation value generated by the error generator. This value is added to k while evaluating the k value. WARNING ! This value becomes 0 only at the desactivation of the error generator.
- If there is no type of dispersion equation (optical constants n and k of the material can'not be described by a equation) then each material is described by indexes (n,k) at 40 wevelenghts. If the wevelenghts for which (n,k) is wanted, does not coincide with one of the 40 wevelenghts, then proceed to the linear interpolation. Generally, this case in met at metals. Where disptersion is greater, it is better for the number of points (lambda) specifying (n,k) should be more. Pay attention to the interpretation of the material data where k is dispersive and points are few.
- n non-homogeneity equation type
: non-homogeneity equation type for n;
- n non-homogeneity equation coefficients
: maximum 12 coefficients;
- k non-homogeneity equation type
: non-homogeneity equation type for k;
- k non-homogeneity equation coefficients
: maximum 12 coefficients;
- Minimum material thickness
: minimum value for the geometrical thickness of a layer by this material; (see Needle Optimization).
- Maximum material thickness
: maximum value for the geometrical thickness of a layer by this material; (see Needle Optimization).
