The new filter calculation program named "FILTER 2004" is a further development of the previous "FILTER 99" diskette program, which is superseded by this Excel workbook. This workbook does not contain any Makro.
The calculation program is intended to serve as an additional tool for the glass filter catalog, in order to quickly get an estimation of appropriate solutions for your individual filter problem.

Some additional features were incorporated into the program when compared with the old calculation program. Now it is possible to get colorimetric evaluation for an arbitrary thickness of the filter type in question. Furthermore you can calculate colorimetric data for a filter combination, consisting of up to five individual filters.
Besides different graphical representations of T (Transmittance) and Ti (Internal Transmittance), now Optical Density and Extinction are also possible to be shown graphically.

The wavelength range of the graphs can be extended up to 5200 nm (former upper limit with the old diskette program: 1100 nm). This can be done after unprotecting the graphic sheet in question (no password necessary). You can choose an arbitrary wavelength range between 200 and 5200 nm. You are also free to change the linear axis of ordinate (please don't try to change the diabatic axes).

The two data input sheets (for single filter and filter combination) contain cells with light green background. These are the only cells free for changes, either by drop-down selection or by direct numerical entry.
All numerical data of the individual glass filter types of this program, which are used for the different calculations and the graphical representations, are guidelines only and do not represent guaranteed values.

For further information we refer to the definition part and the data part of the glass filter catalog.
